Chicken And Okra Casserole

Ingredients Required:

1kg Okra (Loose) (s)



1 Garlic (Net). Approx 8. Bulbs(s)



Tomato Juice
Salt and Pepper
Ground Cloves


4 chicken pieces. 

1/2 cup (4oz) margarine. 

1 lb small okra, with stem removed. 

2 garlic cloves crushed. 

1/4 tsp ground cloves. 

1 cup (1/2pt) tomato juice. 

salt and pepper. 



  1. Fry the whole okras in the margarine for 5 mins. then set them aside.
  2. Put the chicken pieces in the pan and brown both sides.
  3. Add the garlic and cloves, cover and cook gently for 20 mins., turning the chicken pieces once.
  4. Add in the tomato juice, 1 cup (1/2pt) of water, salt and pepper, and okras. Cover and simmer gently for 45mins.
