Mixed Fruit Compote
|1 Braeburn Apples (French)(s)||
|1 Ruby 'Blood' Oranges (4 pack)(s)||
|2 Passion Fruit(s)||
|Mixed dried fruits|
Serve chilled for breakfast or as a dessert with Greek yogurt, thick cream or custard.
225g/ (8oz)mixed dried fruit, such as apples, prunes, pears, apricots and peaches (not the ready-to-eat varieties).
25g (1oz) sultanas.
25g (1oz) raisins.
2 tbsp toasted flake almonds.
2 tbsp caster sugar.
600ml (1 pint) apple juice, orange juice or water.
2 tbsp orange liqueur.
- Place all the ingredients, except the liqueur, in the slow cooker and stir well.
- Put the lid on and cook on LOW for 6-10 hrs.
- Transfer to a serving dish and leave to cool before adding the orange liqueur.
